i actually first found this brand chips in my local supermarket for a friend of mine – she loves her sriracha hot sauce and this brand had these sriracha flavored chips so i bought them for her and her daughter for fun. i didn’t think twice about giving it to k since she wasn’t going to be ready for spicy foods anytime soon (since her adverse reaction to garlic).
a few months later, i was at a natural foods store and i found these veggie chips made of green beans and i thought – hey, these could be a dry snack for k for school. they’re gluten free, vegan, baked not fried, low in fat and non GMO project verified. it also had some protein and fiber and was made of ingredients that k can eat.
it does have a little more salt than i liked but it is the last ingredient on the list and it doesn’t taste very salty. all in all it was a light and fun snack for k to have occasionally.
