processed gluten free vegan pasta: Trader Joe’s Organic Brown Rice and Quinoa Pasta

Trader Joe's Organic Brown Rice and Quinoa Pastafor an alternative to only brown rice pasta, i found a variety from Trader Joe’s that included quinoa. it’s also gluten free and vegan so k can eat it.

recipe: corned beef with cabbage

to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, i thought i would try a traditional dish that is easy to make and flavorful: corned beef with cabbage. Trader Joe’s makes it especially easy to make this meal! they sell Uncured Sliced Corned Beef that is minimally processed and Shredded White Cabbage. it is perfect for the little one – with the corned beef already thinly sliced and the cabbage shredded, i needed to do little but boil everything.. introducing new foods: quinoa

so far we only introduced one grain, oat bran, to k so we figured it was time to try another. i’ve been a fan of quinoa (*see recipes i’ve tried and information about quinoa ) and i was happy to find out that it is gluten free. quinoait should be safe for k, despite her allergies so we decided to introduce quinoa to k.

quinoa has been really hot the last few years so it is easy to find. i already had Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Organic Tricolor Quinoa at home so I started k off with that brand. later i found Ancient Harvest Gluten Free Organic Quinoa Flakes that you didn’t have to was and cooked faster, which was great since it cut down the prep time.
